Accurate-Timesaving-Mobile Bookkeeping Service
This was Sharon Whiting’s mission statement when, with the assistance of the Community Futures Self-Employment program, Accurate~Timesaving~Mobile Bookkeeping Service started up in 1999.
“Dave Scott was my CFDC mentor at start-up and throughout the years until his retirement” Sharon states with appreciation. “Dave was just awesome with his encouragement but he strictly ensured business professional ethics were followed.” Sharon continues to refer those interested in assistance with a business start-up and/or business loan to Community Futures. “The CFDC staff are available to assist you with every step of the way and sincerely care about you and your business success. This is so evident when you learn that there are so many successful businesses who received the assistance of CFDC."
Bookkeepers are being recognized as being a part of the professional industry which was demonstrated when the ATM Bookkeeping Service was acknowledged and honored with a finalist plaque of a 2003 Kelowna Annual Business Excellence Award.
Sharon Whiting works out her home-based office and also in various Client offices – depending on the needs of each business. Providing accurate bookkeeping services on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, Sharon enjoys the challenges of meeting the requirements of each business. The practice of “Time-saving” equals “Cost-saving” and Sharon consistently works with each business to effectively reduce the time they have to spend on their paperwork – allowing their schedule to be used for the sales of their product or service – the business owner’s area of expertise.
Describing the variety of Clients, Sharon says, “Some business owner’s will have all of the paperwork in a very orderly fashion while others leave it to me to unfold each receipt and organize. Some will ensure that I have all of the required documents and others I have to email a list of what was forgotten. Most will have the paperwork available to me within a reasonable time but some leave it to the last day of a deadline. ATM Bookkeeping Clients are Incorporated, Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, and non-profit Societies – and a wide variety of industries.”
Working within the General Accepted Accounting Practices and using the Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) program, Sharon insists on completing the highest standard of work for the Client’s year-end tax accountant and Provincial and Federal tax requirements.
